Formed in 1978 by brothers Andy and Mick McGrath, Crux made their debut on vinyl on A Country Fit For Heroes which was released on No-Future Records on January 30th 1982. The track was the classic anthem CLA which stood for Camphill Liberation Army – an area of Nuneaton were they came from.Their next release was a split 12″ again on No -Future Records [with a band called the Samples]. Each had 4 tracks – the Crux tracks were; Keep on Running, Streets at Night, Brighton Fron and I’ll Die With My Boots On which was released on December 11th 1982.The classic Liddle Towers song was on the ‘Oi,Oi That’s Yer Lot’ album which was released on Secret Records also in 1982.The band split up in 1984. We are pleased to Announce Crux will be appearing live at The Great Skinhead Reunion Brighton June 6th 2026
